For Your Viewing Pleasure
Every effort has been taken to ensure that this website is accessible to a broad cross-section of Internet users. However, you may find that slight adjustments in your computer system will enhance your enjoyment of this site. The following information provides some tips and advice that should be of assistance.
Screen Resolution
The "resolution" of your monitor refers to the number of pixels per inch (ppi) which constitute your screen display. Screen resolutions vary from 640 by 480 pixels to 1280 by 1024. Most websites are designed for optimum viewing at 800 by 600 pixels.
This website is functional at any resolution setting, but it has been designed for optimum performance at a resolution of 800 by 600 pixels or higher.
If you wish to change your screen resolution and you are using Windows 95 or higher, click on the following sequence of options:
Start | Settings | Control Panel | Display | Settings
Change your resolution and click OK. Your screen will turn blank for several seconds, and then you will be asked to confirm the setting.
Browsers
The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) maintains a list of major browsers. They even specify which ones are compatible with CSS.
That being said, the two most popular browsers today are Microsoft® Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. You can install them on your computer free of charge.
This website is functional with any browser, but it has been designed for optimum performance with Microsoft® Internet Explorer.
If you already have either of these browsers, we recommend that you update to the latest version. Older versions are less able to handle modern websites; for instance, CSS is not supported in versions prior to Netscape 4.x and Internet Explorer 3.x.
To download or update either of these browsers, simply click on their icon below. This will take you to the manufacturer's website, where you can follow their easy instructions.
It may take at least one hour to download an entirely new browser; updating to the latest version takes less time.
Cascading Style Sheets
Our website utilizes Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). CSS is a method of formatting Web page elements (such as font sizes) from a central location, rather than in each individual page.
If your browser does not support CSS, it will render the colors and fonts in this website according to its default settings.
Unfortunately, older browsers may not support CSS. If this is your case, downloading a new browser, or newer version, should resolve your problems.
Adobe® PDF
To view PDF documents you must have a software program called Adobe® Acrobat Reader, which is already installed on over 40 million computers worldwide, and is free of charge. Simply click on the icon below to view the Adobe® website, and follow their instructions.
