Renewable Energy Electrician, Construction and Maintenance

Generation Solar Renewable Energy Systems seeks a highly motivated individual to join us in the position of Renewable Energy Electrician. This person will lead in the preparation and installation of solar electric (photovoltaic) systems in residential and commercial applications. This full time position is a nine month contract, beginning in April 2009, with the possibility of extension and/or renewal.

The ideal candidate will be:

Registered as a Construction and Maintenance Electrician in Ontario;
Committed to a career in the renewable energy industry;

Able to follow broad directions and also able to lead an installation team; and

Experience dealing successfully with end-clients and other stakeholders in a project based environment.

Generation Solar Renewable Energy Systems Inc. designs, supplies, installs, and services a range of renewable energy technologies for commercial and residential applications, particularly photovoltaic and solar thermal technologies. Founded in 1998 and based in Peterborough, ON, Generation Solar has been active in the development of the solar industry in Canada through participation in the industry association and by teaching renewable energy through Fleming College, Trent University, the Kortright Centre, and the CanSIA Solar Thermal Certified Installer Program.
