When commissioned in 2009, the 144 kWDC project at the Loyalty One office in Mississauga was the largest roof-top solar electric system in Canada and one of the first projects to go online in the Ontario FIT program.

The PV modules were mounted flat to make best use of the available roof area. Available roof area was constrained because the roof deck itself would not accommodate a ballasted system so the racks were designed to be anchored to the building posts.

Inverters were mounted inside, in the employee lunch room, such that all wiring was hidden from view. It was a very neat and tidy installation.

The constructor of the system was new to solar and turned to Generation Solar as experienced and reliable experts to help them implement their first major installation.
